Maple Valley Stables started in 2006. This was a new endeavor
for The Reynolds Farm; a family owned and operated business for over eighty years. Larry & Julie Reynolds, owners
and hands on managers have taken the family farm into the 21st century. With two grown children not interested in pursuing
careers in the family dairy business Larry & Julie sold the dairy cows in October of 2005 and began the changing process
to form Maple Valley Stables.
They have two grown children Stephanie who is 26 years old is a recent graduate from St. Michaels College with a MATESOL
degree. She is currently an English Instructor at a University in Japan. And, Evan 24 years old is a
graduate of New England Culinary Institute currently working as a chef in the Burlington area.
Although
Maple Valley Stables has only been in business for five years, Larry has been around horses since he was about eight
years old. He remembers taking his pony 'BeeBee" to get the cows on a daily basis. Having competed in
various western pleasure disciplines into his teen years. Larry has always had a passion and a genuine love for horses.
Julie grew up in Essex and participated in 4-H as
a youth and has always enjoyed being around horses as well. Julie also is actively involved in the day by day operations
including being the administrative hands in the business. She is also very excited about working side by side with her
husband of 30 years.
